Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Sound Guide ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use the Sound Guide app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sound Guide, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: name, email address, and phone number (verified via one-time passcode).
• Profile information: profile photo/avatar, and optionally genres or social links you choose to add.
• Purchase and ticket information: tickets purchased, transferred, or received, and related transaction records.
• Payment information: processed directly by our payment partner, Peach Payments. Sound Guide does not receive or store your full card number.
• Contacts (optional): if you choose to sync your contacts to find friends on Sound Guide, we access the contact details needed to match existing users. You control this via your device's permission settings.
• Device and usage information: device identifiers and push notification tokens, used to deliver notifications about your tickets, transfers, and account activity.
• Location information: if permitted by you, used to show nearby events.

• To process ticket purchases, transfers, and refunds
• To send push notifications related to your tickets, transfers, waitlist status, and friend activity
• To provide customer support
• To help you find and connect with friends already using Sound Guide, if you choose to sync contacts
• To detect and prevent fraud or misuse of the Service
• To improve and maintain the Service

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• Peach Payments, to process your ticket payments securely.
• Service providers that help us operate Sound Guide, such as our backend infrastructure and push notification providers, under obligations to protect your data.
• Other users, in limited ways you control — for example, your name and profile photo are visible to a friend you transfer a ticket to or receive a friend request from.
• Event organizers, where necessary to verify entry to their event (e.g. ticket validation).
• Legal authorities, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sound Guide or others.

We retain your account and transaction information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations. You can request deletion of your account as described in Section 7.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS) for data in transit and access controls on our backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• You can update most of your profile information directly in the app.
• You can control contact syncing and location access through your device's permission settings at any time.
• You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the details below.
• You can opt out of push notifications through your device settings, though this may affect your ability to receive time-sensitive ticket and transfer updates.

Sound Guide is not intended for use by children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
