The Castle of Good Hope
Built by the Dutch East India Company between 1666 and 1679, the Castle of Good Hope stands as South Africa's oldest surviving colonial building. Rich in history and character, this iconic fortress replaced the original Fort de Goede Hoop, which was constructed from clay and timber by Jan van Riebeeck upon his arrival at the Cape in 1652. With its impressive architecture and cultural significance, the Castle offers a unique and historic venue for events, blending centuries of heritage with an unforgettable atmosphere at the gateway to Cape Town.
